Manual Adhesion Release

 

Manual Adhesion Release, or MAR is a soft tissue techniques that has been shown to be effective in reducing adhesion in muscles, tendons and ligaments.  Its a primary tool of the Integrative Diagnosis system, the most complete system in finding and fixing painful and restricted areas of the spine.  Dr. Ellerbrock is certified at the highest level of Integrative Diagnosis and has served as the on-site care provider at several Fortune 500 companies. 

Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)

Shockwave therapy, or extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT), is used in the treatment of many musculoskeletal conditions, primarily those involving connective tissues such as ligaments and tendons.  We use a specialized technique to apply appropriate stress to damaged tissues to optimize treatment efficacy.  
Massage Therapy
 
Our skilled massage therapist specialize in musculoskeletal and orthopedic massage.  Safely and comfortably assessing your tissue for increased muscle tension and discomfort is the objective of this therapy.  It can be scheduled with your therapy plan in our office or scheduled 'stand-alone' therapy as well.

Dr. Matt Ellerbrock, DC, DACRB

 

With a deep-rooted connection to the northwest Ohio area, Dr. Matthew Ellerbrock first served as a licensed Chiropractor in Columbus Grove until 2016, before relocating his practice on Main Street in Bluffton. A proud graduate of Columbus Grove High School in 1992, Dr. Ellerbrock went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology from Miami University in 1996. During his time at Miami, he not only excelled academically but also was a member of the Miami University Rugby team, representing both Ohio and the Midwest as a select side athlete.

Continuing his educational journey, Dr. Ellerbrock pursued a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, which he obtained in 1999 with Research Honors. His dedication to his field did not go unnoticed, as he received a nomination for the Clinical Excellence Award during his time at Palmer. Additionally, he was an integral part of the Palmer Rugby team as a scholarship athlete and served as the President of the Rugby Club.  

As a Chiropractor, Dr. Ellerbrock is passionate about promoting optimal function and alleviating pain for his patients.  Progressive in nature, his practice has evolved with the continued discovery of new and innovative ways to promote optimate function and reduce pain.  In recognition of his expertise and commitment to excellence, he achieved a Diplomate in for Chiropractic Rehabilitation in 2017. This distinguished status represents the highest level of specialization in the field of soft tissue care and exercise rehabilitation for chiropractors.

Beyond his professional endeavors, you can find Dr. Ellerbrock engaging in various outdoor activities during his leisure time. Whether he's running, hiking, or enjoying moments with his three children—Thomas, Maggie, and Bella—Dr. Ellerbrock embraces an active and fulfilling lifestyle.

Megan Brodwolf brings over 15 years of experience as a physical therapist in outpatient care. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science with a Minor in Psychology and an Associate's degree in Personal Training from the University of Findlay, followed by a Master's in Physical Therapy in 2008. Megan has treated a wide range of conditions, including sports injuries, orthopedic issues, geriatrics, vestibular problems, and neurological disorders.

She finds the most fulfillment in helping her patients achieve their goals, whether it's enhancing sports performance, returning to hobbies, or gaining independence in daily activities. Megan is dedicated to staying abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy to offer the best care possible and improve her patients' quality of life.

Outside of work, Megan is a proud resident of Columbus Grove, where she lives with her husband Mike and their four children, Hannah, Jacob, Hailey, and Caleb. She enjoys family time, attending her kids' sports events, and participating in Dale's Running Club. Megan is also an enthusiastic supporter of the Columbus Grove Bulldogs, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Bengals.

Deb Bogart, LMT

 

Debora Bogart is a distinguished graduate of The Institute of Therapeutic Massage, where she honed her skills in the art of massage therapy. Passionate about helping others, she embarked on an entrepreneurial journey and established her own home-based therapy business following her graduation. Her dedication and commitment to her clients soon led her to explore opportunities beyond her immediate community.

Eager to expand her horizons and share her expertise in various communities, Debora accepted an offer to work at a reputable chiropractic office in Lima. This experience proved to be highly fulfilling, motivating her to extend her reach even further into local communities across her county. Her goal was to collaborate with local athletes, providing them with specialized therapy to enhance their athletic performance. By conditioning their muscles after intense workouts, Debora ensured that athletes could maintain peak physical condition for competitive events.

Notably, Debora Bogart has achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the first and only certified massage therapist in Ohio to master Manual Adhesion Release—an industry-leading method for identifying and eliminating muscle adhesions and soft tissue issues. This distinction showcases her unwavering commitment to staying at the forefront of her field and offering cutting-edge therapeutic solutions to her clients.

In addition to her hands-on practice, Debora has also garnered extensive experience as an instructor, teaching massage therapy techniques to aspiring students at a local college. This opportunity allows her to impart her knowledge and passion for the art of massage therapy, nurturing the next generation of skilled professionals in the field.

Lindsey Buettner, LMT

Lindsey Buettner, a seasoned professional with nearly a decade of experience in the massage industry. Lindsey embarked on her journey after graduating from the Institute of Therapeutic Massage, where she earned a diploma in Medical Massage and completed extensive training of over 1000 hours in various modalities. Her dedication to the field is evident in her vast knowledge and expertise.

Lindsey's true passion lies in helping individuals find relaxation and achieve pain relief through the power of massage. She excels in a wide range of techniques, including myofascial and deep tissue massage, as well as specialized areas such as cancer and lymphatic work. With her comprehensive skill set, Lindsey is well-equipped to address the unique needs and requirements of her clients.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Lindsey's involvement in volleyball, both as a player and coach, grants her valuable insights into the specific massage requirements of athletes. This firsthand experience allows her to tailor her treatments to effectively support athletes in their performance and recovery.

Furthermore, Lindsey serves as one of the Chiropractic Clinical Assistants in her office, contributing her expertise to the comprehensive care provided to patients. Her multidisciplinary approach ensures a holistic and integrated approach to wellness.

You can find Lindsey working in all aspects of our office as she can cover the front desk and assists Dr. Ellerbrock in the treatment room in addition to her massage therapy practice.
